This is who I am
-LittleFawn
(A Tale of Delusion and Solitude)
(Inspired by “Great Poet” Laxmi Prasad Devkota’s “The Lunatic”)
I walk on the sky,
And soar under the sea.
I swim on the ground—
This is truly me.
I feast on the air,
And sip from my plate.
I breathe in the water;
It feels just great.
My world is a dream,
One you’ll never perceive.
A canvas unbound,
With no rules to believe.
I dive into mountains,
And hike through the waves.
Why bother with logic
In a world that behaves?
I devour the storm,
And ride the cyclone’s path.
I dance with disaster;
Does it hint at my wrath?
You call me insane,
But your gaze is askew.
For I see a world
That’s invisible to you.
Every word that I speak
Forms the law of my land,
Where order dissolves
And chaos takes its stand.
I’m creator and destroyer,
But no god to revere.
I’m a teenager lost
In a life unclear.
What do you see?
Who do you claim?
A lunatic lost?
No, I am untamed.
In my world, rivers run
Without dams to confine.
If you fail to grasp it,
The fault’s not mine.
I’m just a boy
With a mind running wild,
Hiding his loneliness
In a delusion’s child.
A barrier of silence,
A fortress of fear,
I wiped my own tears
When no one was near.
Yes, these illusions
Have kept me alive.
They give me a purpose,
A reason to thrive.
So say what you will;
I’ll shoulder your scorn.
For I’ve found my solace
In a world reborn.
This is my truth,
My mind’s secret plan.
If you ask me who I am—
This is who I truly am.
