Just a simple man

(A Tale of the Unseen Self)

Just a simple man,
With a gentle guise,
Dreams sparkling faintly
Behind unassuming eyes.
Admiring lovely art,
Pulling strings unseen,
A curator of chaos
In a world pristine.

Just a simple man,
Craving restless thought,
Seeking innovation
In battles never fought.
Devouring ideas,
Fuel for his craft,
An architect of illusions,
The present and the past.

Just a simple man,
With a mind untamed,
Feelings caged tightly,
Yet silently inflamed.
Eating bread and jam,
A mask upon his face,
While pondering the truth—
Am I part of this race?

Searching for the medicine,
To heal this phantom pain,
A wound that lies within,
Hidden beneath the sane.
Moving through the city,
A shadow in the crowd,
Each step a whispered secret,
Each thought a scream aloud.

Just a simple man,
Lost upon his way,
A calm and steady presence
That keeps the world at bay.
But nothing is concluded;
The surface merely scratched,
For beneath the gentle visage,
A darker soul is latched.

This isn’t over—
The story’s just begun.
You see the gleam of daylight,
But not the shadowed sun.
I’m giving you a glimpse,
A taste of what’s concealed.
Behind this “simple man,”
A chaos lies revealed.
